ABOUT US
Cherry Creek bridges the gap between long-term care and housing options for ailing family members who need more care than assisted living can provide, but who aren’t ready for a nursing home. Our home will be set apart from other adult family homes because of the focus on building personal connections with each resident. Cherry creek will house residents of varying ages and health needs- there are no age restrictions and no specific criteria for living at Cherry Creek.
OUR HOME
This beautiful 2,590 sq ft home has spacious private and semi-private bedrooms. The home features a wide-open floor plan and extra wide hallways making it easy for residents with walkers and wheelchairs to move around. Our home has newly converted bathrooms with handrails and grab bars as well as modified showers- the existing bathtub/ shower insert was removed and replaced with a shower that is wheelchair accessable. There is a beautiful open kitchen where well-balanced home cooked meals will be made. Nearby, we have the living space where we hope to gather to do activities such as memory games, arts and crafts, puzzles and, chair exercises.
CARE
– The staff-to-resident ratio will always be 1-to-6 or better, compared to 1-to-50 in assisted living facilities.
– There will be 24 hour care where four full-time and two part-time caregivers will be employed, in addition to Touchette.
– A Registered Nurse will be on-call 24 hours per day in addition to an emergency call system.
– Each resident will be provided with an emergency call system that they will have on them at all times; with a touch of a button they will receive assistance.
– There will be staff on hand at all times to assist with activities of daily living, including diabetic care, tube feedings, wound care and more.

REGISTERED NURSE
I am the owner and operator of Cherry Creek Adult Family Home. I am a Registered Nurse and graduated with my Associates Degree in Nursing in 2017.
I am a wife and a mother of two young boys. I currently work as a nurse at Trios in outpatient procedures where I am per diem- this has worked great with being a busy mom.
I have a deep passion for the geriatric community and making sure they are well taken care of. This passion came from the relationship I had with my grandfather, who I was very close with. Later in his life, he unexpectedly became very sick and was unable to take care of himself. My family and I then began to search for a facility for him to live in that provided the care he needed. He was put on a waitlist and in the mean time he lived back and fourth between my sister and I. My grandpa passed away within a few months, it all happened so fast.
My grandpa and I always talked about a nursing career for me and he always encouraged me to follow my dreams. After his passing, I knew I was going to pursue that dream and one day own my own care facility for the geriatric population.
This is where my decision to start Cherry Creek Adult Family Home came from. I’ve known all along that the ultimate goal was to own and operate my very own home where I could make a difference in the elderly population.
